Private Lessons
Private lessons are intended to supplement a dancer's existing training, providing an opportunity to work on their dancing in much greater detail than is typically possible in a group class.
I work with dancers of all levels who are driven, willing to work hard, and interested in learning and improving.

small group
class
I'm bringing together a small group of approximately 4–7 dancers for ongoing daily class. The group will consist of students who are relatively close in age and technical level, with compatible schedules.
Repetition doesn't just help a dancer remember a correction intellectually. Repeatedly producing the intended coordination, with consistent guidance and correction, helps establish that coordination in the nervous system so that it becomes progressively more familiar and automatic to the body—which is exactly what we want in ballet.
Working daily accelerates the process of physical learning and can produce noticeable improvement in a relatively short period of time.

what i know
why vaganova
I spent years training in the blend of classical ballet methods characteristic of American ballet education, then experienced a fundamentally different approach through my work with Nadia Pavlenko, a master pedagogue of the Vaganova Method.
I know the American training I grew up with, and I know what happened when I was subsequently taught through the Vaganova Method. I experienced the differences in my own body. I know what changed physically, what I had previously been missing, and how dramatically those differences affected my dancing.
That experience informs what I recognize when I'm working with a student. It gives me a particular understanding of what dancers may be missing, even when they're already technically accomplished.
